As a Senior Multimedia AV Designer you’ll be responsible for producing all assigned marketing collateral both creatively and technically, working closely with the Head of studio, Studio Leads, designers, and all stakeholders in the business to ensure that creative outputs consistently fulfil business requirements and also drive the business in new and exciting directions. Responsible for creating high-level engaging motion graphics and animations, across platforms covering South Africa and rest of Africa.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include ownership of the following:
- Work Execution: Execute work that aligns with the brief, expected outcomes, and objectives, ensuring the creative vision and brand guidelines are upheld. Deliver work that is in line with the CI, accurate to brief, and of high quality.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with designers, team leads, and other team members to understand project objectives and desired outcomes. Attend brainstorm sessions and develop new concepts with leads as required. Work positively with team members, seniors, and leaders. Attend daily stand-up meetings and actively listen to understand team requirements.
- Animation and Design: Apply best practice animation principles to create fluid, impactful motion sequences across platforms and media. Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and techniques in motion design and share within the studio.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize workflows to maintain efficiency. Maintain a problem-solving mindset, agile to adapt to urgent business needs and reshuffle work as needed.
- Proactive Work: Develop fresh and original proactive work and come up with ideas beyond the brief when needed.
- Mentorship: Actively inspire and mentor junior and mid-level team members within the AV team to foster growth and collaboration. Be a role model to other designers through positive attitude, responsibility, honesty, respect, and openness.
- Ownership: Take full ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality work, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Product Understanding: Build an understanding of our products and our customers per region.
- Departmental Goals: Champion departmental goals and new approaches. Use performance metrics to investigate the success of creative elements and improve solutions and guidelines.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
- Experience: 6+ years in motion graphics and animation, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to bring designs to life. Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and familiarity with 3D tools like Cinema 4D or Blender.
- Animation Expertise: Strong understanding of motion design principles, timing, and dynamics and layout.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency when working with design files.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Expertise: managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
- Agility: Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
- Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
- Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
- Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
