Specialist Engineering Artisan

Requirements

• A relevant Trade Test Qualification: Boilermaker or Millwright
• Minimum of 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Supervisory Experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Must be physically fit and able bodied.
• Compulsory to work after hours and over the weekend.
• Compulsory to do standby duty.

Key Performance Areas

• Managing and leading the facility workshop and resources

to ensure the maintenance of facility fixed plant, container fleet,

manage and control the assets, conduct pro-active and reactive

maintenance including checking, greasing, fitting, turning,

welding, etc. on plant and equipment in accordance with

maintenance plans and OEM manuals.

• Co-ordinates activities and sequences associated within

specific functional areas such as Building Maintenance,

Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic.

• Fault finding and repairs.
• Supervising staff in the performance and execution of their

duties to ensure work is completed timeously.

• Complete internal transactional documentation.
• Planned and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure that all maintenance work is done in accordance

with best practice and in accordance with OHS requirements

and regulations.
