Join one of Africa’s leading events and media companies! The VUKA Group is seeking a driven, dynamic, and commercially-minded Sponsorship Sales Executive to join our Retail Portfolio. About the Role
As a Sponsorship (Spex) Sales Executive, you’ll be responsible for generating sponsorship revenue across our retail events and platforms. You’ll engage directly with senior decision-makers from top-tier companies, crafting compelling partnership packages that align with their strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and close new sponsorship opportunities for events within the Retail Portfolio
- Use proven lead generation methods to find and attract the right prospects
- Develop tailored proposals and pitch presentations that meet client objectives
- Manage the full sales cycle - from lead generation through to contract signing
- Maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors and identify up-sell or cross-sell opportunities
- Collaborate with the marketing, content, and operations teams to ensure high-value delivery for sponsors
- Track and report on sales performance and pipeline development
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in B2B sponsorship or solution sales (preferably in the events industry)
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand client needs and ROI goals
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organised
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) is a plus
