Readers Warehouse Tokai is currently seeking a Store Manager to effectively plan, control and monitor the performance of his / her store to ensure that it operates at an optimal level.
Key Performance Areas:
· Efficient Stock Management – ensuring the following are done and optimum levels are reached
▪ Conducting periodical stock counts
▪ Ensuring stock levels are at optimum levels
▪ Ensuring stock ranges are optimum
· Manage Store Targets and Profitability
▪ Develop, implement, and innovate strategies to meet store and GP targets
▪ Manage expenses within budget
▪ Report and manage any stock losses
· Manage any money related tasks
▪ Cash Floats (Including Managers Float)
▪ Cashing up for the day and balancing tills
▪ Investigating any overs or under and reporting these accordingly
▪ Manage the daily banking
▪ Manage any petty cash
· Pricing and Point-of-sales System
▪ Ensure any price-changes are actioned as soon as is practically possible
▪ Ensure correct pricing on promotional items
· Hygiene and Housekeeping
▪ Ensure the store is neat and tidy at all times
▪ Ensure high standards of displays and merchandising is upheld
▪ Develop and maintain the cleaning roster on a rotational basis for staff
· Staff Management
▪ Interviewing staff members for open positions
▪ Conducting reference checks on new staff members
▪ Discipline of staff in accordance with the company code of conduct
▪ Train and develop staff on store related tasks
▪ Conduct performance management reviews with staff
▪ Ensure shift rosters and completed timeously and staff levels are optimal
▪ Leave management
· Managing Customers
▪ Managing customer complaints efficiently and effectively
▪ Ensuring customers are assisted through upselling and cross-sellin
· Merchandising
▪ Ensure existing stock is rotated on a regular basis
▪ Create new and different concepts for merchandising of stock
▪ Highlight recently released books optimally
· ITB stock to other stores in accordance with the company policy
· Open and Close the store ensuring that all start of day and lock up procedures are followed
· Continuously read and encourage your team to do the same to increase book knowledge.
· Draw up and send any reports that may be necessary.
