PURPOSE OF THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this position is to assist members (clients) with tax advice and administrative solutions to commonTax problems, within the parameters set by the Company and the Scorpion Legal Protection membership agreement.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Consulting with Members
Attending to clients and providing tax advice and assistance via telephone,
Emails, SMS Pinnacle
Drafting & attending to correspondence
Attending to drafting and responding to correspondence on behalf of clients
Case Management
Ensuring that all case files are maintained and regularly updated
Liaison with SARS, Tax Ombud, Appointed Attorney
Follow up with SARS / Tax ombudsman / Attorney and obtain necessary information and / or giving instruction to sort out member’s tax problem
Providing Feedback to Clients
Ensuring that clients receive regular updates and feedback
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Education
Must have Matric (Grade12) and relevant degree or diploma.
Experience
Must have experience in handling tax matters. Must know how individual tax within the Income Tax Act and Tax Administration Acts works and must be able to apply these
Principles when dealing with tax matters
Other
Must be computer literate (advanced); specifically, MS Word, Excel and Outlook,
Will be requested to perform ad-hoc projects
General working conditions
Regular office environment and no health and safety risks involved
Some travel might be required from time to time
