Position available: Technical Claims Consultant (buildings)

Purpose of the position: Building claims consultant, with the ability to act as a desktop investigator on building related claims
Responsibilities:
- Capturing, processing, scrutinising assessment reports, and finalising, or rejecting, building claims
- Dealing with client queries and complaints in a professional manner and in alignment with our company values
- Complying to company’s claims and business processes
- Work closely with assessor and service provider and managing their KPI’s
- Preparing reports as required (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint efficient)
- Meeting own key performance indicators (KPI’s)
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Matric (essential)
- At least 3 years short term insurance experience
- At least 3 years building claims experience
- Building related qualification would be advantageous
- Understanding of building regulations, statutory regulations and Sectional Title Acts would be advantageous
- Solid understanding of King Price’s claim's philosophy and its application
- Supplier management would be advantageous
- Understanding final costings would be advantageous
- Ability to adapt to new systems and processes
