Why do we need you?
  • Implement and develop sustainable and profitable customer relationships and communicate/embed value proposition to internal and external stakeholders to deliver commercial KPIs (volume, mix, price, market penetration) across the SG range.
  • To maximise specification performance, in line with company objectives and strategy, working as part of the exports sales team to drive product proposition to develop customer satisfaction and to facilitate specification and order closure.
  • Maximise market advantage, through a strong focus on SD’s, contractors, professionals, other customers, end user requirements, customer sales teams and customer relationship management, to maximise market advantage and coverage.
  • Assist marketing to launch new products (as defined) to customer groups to ensure penetration and volume growth of NPDs.
  • Project tracking from developer to professional, to specifier, to main contractor, to sub-contractor to specialist distributor & driving the advantages of our comprehensive product range and communicating the entire value proposition to improve project data base information integrity, specification & order fulfilment.
  • Assist and /or give presentations to other team members as necessary and to customer base with focus on all aspects of product / system performances to improve technical competency, adoption of SG solutions and product mix.
  • Develop an in depth understanding of competitor’s strengths and weaknesses and their activities in the marketplace at any time including indirect customers to enhance SG bench marking efforts and competitiveness on the market.

Is this job for you?


The best suited candidate for this role should possess five years of experience in a Sales role with proven sales success. You should be an experienced architectural technician and a building service engineer. This role calls for a person who has experience and been successful in promoting engineering solutions or specifications, an ability to identify innovative solutions with an engineering perspective, an ability to interpret two dimensional to three dimensional technical designs, knowledge of construction process stages and methods and the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency within customer’s construction programme. The candidate must possess a degree in Construction/Building disciplines.
