Join a Global Tech Team Supporting International Clients
Are you an experienced VoIP and Linux support technician? We're hiring a Technical Support Specialist to join our night-shift team in Somerset West. In this role, you'll provide technical assistance to international clients via phone, email, and chat, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure high-quality customer support in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, in-office, night shift position.
What You’ll Do
- Assist customers via phone, email, and chat.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VoIP systems, Linux servers, and platform performance.
- Escalate complex cases with clear documentation to higher-tier support.
- Recreate customer environments in lab servers to reproduce technical issues.
- Guide customers through system updates and configuration changes.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure reliability.
What You'll Need:
- 3+ years experience in technical support, IT help desk, or customer service (preferably in Telecom or IT).
- Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies (e.g., IP phones, ATA adapters, softphones).
- Experience using the Linux Command Line Interface for troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking principles and diagnostics.
- Excellent English communication skills – both written and verbal.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIP.
- Background in customer-facing roles with a technical focus.
- Experience working in a 24/7 support environment.
Shift & Location
- Shift Rotation (must be comfortable working Nightshifts)
- Based at our office in Somerset West, Western Cape
- Must be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting
