Job Description
- Manage third party warehouse activities in alignment with compliance regulations, company policies and procedures
- Responsible for inventory management, resource management and cost controls.
- Responsible to coordinate monthly cycle counts, investigate variances, and finalize stock counts reports for the Supply Chain Manager for approval.
- Ensure the FIFIO method of stock issuing is always being carried out.
- Manage slow moving, future expiring & dead stock with the relevant departments.
- Prepare departmental budget as well as task assignments and work plans.
- Manage suppliers and service providers to ensure legislative compliance and uninterrupted operations.
- Responsible for internal and external departmental audits and closing out findings.
- Ensure site SHEQ standards and procedures are adhered and aligned to the Zero Harm strategy.
- Maintain stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
- Manage and maintain discipline amongst staff whilst instilling a good culture through motivation, development and training.
- Attend relevant sales and operations meetings to provide feedback and gain an understanding of the business requirements.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment, including moving machinery, is maintained in a safe and good working order and compliant with all statutory requirements
- Inventory accuracy and stock levels.
- Order accuracy and fulfillment times.
- Labor efficiency (e.g., orders picked per hour).
- Safety record (incidents and accidents).
- Warehouse cost per unit of product handled.
- Customer satisfaction with on-time and accurate deliveries
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehousing Management or NQF equivalent.Minimum
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
- In depth understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, safety requirements and resource management.
- Computer literate with MS Office proficiency.
- SAP knowledge and experience advantageous
