Warehouse Manager
PURPOSE OF JOB
The Warehouse Manager to apply an “Effective Hands on Approach” to direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. The Warehouse Manager will assess the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding service and dispatching of a wide variety of products. Ultimately the Warehouse Manager should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all processes are compliant and run smoothly and promptly.
THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER IS FULLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACCURATE RECORDING OF ALL STOCK MOVEMENT TRANSACTIONS
REPORTING LINE : BRANCH/STORE MANAGER
Responsibilities
· Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and procedures
· Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
· Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilisation
· Initiate, co-ordinate, and enforce operational policies and procedures
· Adhere to warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
· Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
· Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
· Ensure that all Stocks are safely stored and no damage incurred
· Liase with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
· Plan Work Rosters, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
· Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees
· Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT Status report, dead stock report etc.)
· Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
· Coaches, monitors, develops, and motivates Warehouse TEAM for High Performance
· Maintains a pro-active relationship with MBG External Security in joint recording of Stock Movement independently
· KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
· A Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
· Proven Work Experience as a Warehouse Manager
· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
· Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
· Hands on experience with Warehouse management software and databases
· Leadership Skills and ability to manage staff
· Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
· TEAM LEADER with Excellent Communication Skills
