Purpose of the Job
Falcon is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication of agricultural equipment from metal, using jigs and fixtures. This role requires a strong focus on welding accuracy, quality control, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality fabrication and welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or arc welding techniques
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans
Use jigs, fixtures, and specialized tools to shape and assemble metal components
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures in the workshop
Conduct continuous quality control inspections to meet fabrication standards
Assist with general ad-hoc workshop responsibilities as required
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
A minimum of 3 years' experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in agricultural or industrial environments
Proven ability to work with various metals and welding methods
Sound knowledge of safety protocols in a workshop/fabrication setting
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
