We are seeking a skilled and experienced Armature Winder. That will be responsible for dismantling, rewinding, reassembling, and testing AC/DC motor armatures, stators, and coils in accordance with industry standards and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test armatures, stators, rotors, and coils for faults or wear
- Strip windings and clean motor parts using appropriate tools and methods
- Rewind AC/DC motors, transformers, and other rotating equipment accurately
- Reassemble and test equipment after rewinding
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Operate winding and testing machines efficiently
Requirements:
- Relevant trade certificate or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience (5 years min preferred) as an armature winder or similar role
- Ability to read technical drawings and winding data sheets
- Good understanding of motor winding techniques (lap, wave, concentric, etc.)
- Familiarity with insulation materials and varnishing processes
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary per month: R20000
