At Novus Print, we value the expertise and dedication of our team members. We are currently seeking an Assistant Stock Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a leading printing company, we are committed to excellence in everything we do, from delivering top-notch printing solutions to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The position reports directly to the Senior Stock Accountant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Place local and imported paper orders and coordinate all communication of shipments from origin to final destination.
- Clear imported shipments.
- Verify all paper receipts and process accurately in financial systems on a daily basis.
- Inter-Company transactions.
- Ensure satisfaction to internal and external customers/suppliers through the offering of quality services.
- Daily/Month-end/Ad-hoc reporting/procedures.
- Electronically file and keep records of all processed transactions and reports for auditing and enquiry purposes.
- Update financial systems and reporting tools (Excel).
- Keep up with ever changing Government Policies and Tariffs on Accounting Standards.
- Continuously explore ways of improved reporting.
Educational Requirements
- Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting is a prerequisite.
- A financial certificate/diploma would be advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- 2-3 Years inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Imports and Export experience.
- Foreign Exchange experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Timeously and Accurate reporting.
- Basic Accounting practices.
- Basic shipping documentation & Incoterms.
- Detailed, well-organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Computer proficiency in MS office (advanced Excel) and e-mail communication.
- Organised and able to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively.
