Leading and growing Financial Services company is seeking a Snr Audit Clerk / Supervisor to join their team of professionals in Kenilworth. This position requires a dynamic individual who can provide an effective auditing service, advice and support. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of the company and contribute to its growth and success.
Primary responsibilities including but not limited to:
To plan and oversee the auditing process from start to finish
Planning, Execution and finalizing of audit engagements
Compiling of financial statements
Reviewing of audit files
Audit and other engagement administration
Client and director liaison
Allocate responsibilities to junior clerks
Review team members work
Managing and training of audit teams
Complete audits on time and submit files to auditing manager
Planning, execution & review of audit and other engagement files (compilation of financial statements, independent reviews and agreed upon procedures)
Staying up to date with the latest technical standards and ensuring all work is in line with latest standards
Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency
Completing audit processes
Leading teams on audit/review engagements
Workflow and budgets
Oversea Junior staff (SAICA Article clerks)
Preparing and reviewing annual financial statements using IFRS and local GAAP
Managing and training junior staff and SAICA trainees
Various audit/review related duties
Delivering external audit and assurance engagements
Minimum Requirements – Qualifications:
BCom / B,Acc / B.Compt Degree (Finance, Accounting or Financial Accounting)
Completed SAICA Articles to prepare working papers files and AFS
Must have sound technical audit and accounting knowledge
Minimum 3 years’ experience, ideally 4 years in a professional audit environment
Experience in compilations, reviews and audits (including attorney trust, estate agent, body corporate, SME audits)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience. Your role would be to manage a group of Trainee Clerks (supervising, training and scheduling of work)
Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Pastel and working knowledge of CaseWare
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
