We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our bakery team. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for assisting in the creation of high-quality baked goods with a strong focus on breads.

Responsibilities:
- Production: Assist in the daily production of a variety of artisanal pastries, bread, and baked goods, following traditional recipes and techniques to ensure exceptional flavor, texture, and quality.
- Recipe Execution: Execute pastry recipes with precision and attention to detail, incorporating seasonal ingredients and specialty flours to create unique and flavorful offerings.
- Bread Making: Contribute to the production of artisanal bread, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of bread types such as sourdough, baguettes, and specialty loaves.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on pastry products throughout the production process, ensuring consistency, freshness, and adherence to our bakery's standards of excellence.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized pastry workstation, following proper sanitation and hygiene practices to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the bakery team, including pastry chefs, bakers, and assistants, to coordinate production schedules, share knowledge, and support each other in achieving our bakery's goals.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing information about our pastry offerings, answering questions, and offering recommendations to enhance their bakery experience.
Qualifications:
- Culinary Education: Diploma or degree in culinary arts, pastry arts, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional bakery or pastry kitchen, with a focus on artisanal pastry production.
- Bread Making Skills: Proficiency in bread making techniques, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking artisanal bread using natural starters and traditional methods.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and presentation in all pastry and bread creations.
- Creativity: Ability to innovate and experiment with pastry recipes and flavor combinations, while respecting and preserving the integrity of traditional baking methods.
- Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
