Job Description – Bakery Specialist

Key Performance Areas:
- Relationship Development: Cultivate strong, productive relationships with East Rand's management, staff, and customers to enhance the bakery's position as a key contributor to store success.
- Bakery Operations Leadership: Offer expert advice on every aspect of bakery management, including layout, product display, promotions, supply chain, production planning, staffing, and best practices for profitability.
- Training & Development: Assess and deliver in-house training to bakery staff, ensuring they are equipped with top-tier skills and techniques.
- Compliance & Safety: Conduct hygiene and safety inspections while ensuring adherence to current legislation around food safety, labelling, and consumer protection.
- Product Innovation: Lead product development initiatives by introducing new lines and concepts that keep the East Rand Bakery at the forefront of market trends.
- Problem-Solving: Provide actionable strategies and troubleshooting solutions to address operational challenges and improve overall performance.
- Financial Acumen: Develop initiatives that improve profitability and value-added services while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Matric certificate.
- Bakery-related qualification.
- At least 5 years of bakery experience, preferably in a managerial role.
- Expertise in product sourcing, equipment planning, and workflow optimization.
- Strong understanding of bakery trends and evolving market conditions.
- Excellent technical, training, and coaching skills.
- Proven business acumen with a focus on profitability and operational efficiency.

Pay: R30 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
