Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly tasks of a book-keeping function, not limited to, but can include creditors, debtors and control account recons as necessary.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other teams to investigate and rectify variances.
- Loading of payment batches on banking platform daily/weekly and monthly.
- Accurately input financial data into relevant systems.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records.
- Support the finance team with additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12
- Post matric qualification or certificate in finance / accounting field will be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Banking platform payment loading experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in financial environment.
- Comfortable with reconciliation processes and financial reporting.
- Familiar with monthly bookkeeping deadlines
