Are you a super-detailed administrative wizard? Pepkor Specialty's new Womenswear brand AYANA is seeking to employ a Buyer’s Assistant, who will provide effective and accurate administrative and general assistance to the Fashion Buyer to achieve the Company’s sales and profit objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- An understanding of the Retail Cycle & Buying process.
- Managing a sample critical path.
- Have excellent time management, planning and organizing skills with a strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Have sound numerical skills, together with the ability to complete numerical reports/budgets accurately.
- Have a strong sense of urgency and integrity.
- Have a strong customer service orientation with excellent relationship-building skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the organisation.
- The ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
- The ability to work independently but at the same time be a team player.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Retail, Administration, Fashion Design /Clothing Production/ Product Development/Merchandising, or a related field would be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience (preferably 5 years) in an Administrative or Buyer’s Assistant role within a retail / buying environment.
- Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages / G-Suite (Docs/Sheets/Slides) is an essential requirement.
- A Grade 12 Certificate / Matric is an essential requirement.
- Working knowledge and experience with Airtable / Ukusa is advantageous.
