Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Retail Buying, Merchandising, Fashion Design, Clothing and Textile Technology, Clothing Production (advantageous).
A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience as a Buyer’s Assistant or similar role.
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Previous work experience in the Retail / Fashion industry (advantageous).
An understanding of fashion trends and customer preferences.
A strong interest in pursuing a career as a Retail Buyer.
Key Duties:
Responsible for but not limited to:
1. Range building administration and support:
- prompt and accurate preparation of monthly showings and advertising samples.
- prepare and maintain Buyer’s rails for monthly range showings.
- prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly SWOTS, ensuring all garments are available.
- correct creation and maintenance of Buyer’s MAP sheets.
2. Style and sample presentation:
- handover of samples and orders.
- handover of lab dip approvals/fit comments etc.
3. Query resolution and administration support throughout.
4. Meeting attendance and execution of tasks / projects where required.
