Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.
The successful applicant will report to the Miner or nominee.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate.
- Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
- Advantageous: Competent A Certificate, or ability to obtain within required time.
EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):
- Completion of relevant approved training programme.
- Advantageous: 1 year experience in a mining environment as TMM/ RDO/ Blasting Assistant/ LHD Operator.
DUTIES (including but not limited to):
Selection will take place according to the Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine Recruitment Operating Procedure. A stron
- Safely operate the Cable Bolter within designated areas and in accordance with set operating standards to achieve set production requirements.
- Operate the Cable Bolter to achieve production requirements. Operate and control various types of mechanical
- equipment and machinery; e.g., Atlas, Sandvik, Epiroc Cable Bolter. Continuously observe/monitor component performance against standards to identify any sub performance / non-conformance or deviations, and report to Supervisor.
- Conduct pre-shift inspection of machines, machine parts, and /or components of the production line to ensure production flow according to standards within prescribed processes and procedures.
- Follow lock-out procedure when equipment is faulty and at end of the shift, including failure time recorded and location of machine/equipment.
- Perform minor maintenance on the Cable Bolter by greasing the boom and changing consumables. Report all other maintenance issues to the Artisan. Proper operation and care of the machine as per manufacturer’s specifications, and standard operating procedure.
