Minimum Requirements
- B Tech in Occupational Health Nursing (Essential/Minimum)
- Diploma in Business Management (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate in First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
- 3-5 years of experience in management of an occupational health facility (Essential/Minimum)
- Registration with South African Nursing Council (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificates of Competence in Eye Testing, Spirometry, Audiometry, and Drug Testing (Essential/Minimum)
- Dispensing License (Essential/Minimum)
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and contract management
- Strong leadership skills for team management and resource optimization
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Primary and Occupational Health programs to enhance employee wellbeing.
- Manage the operational aspects and staff of the occupational health facility, ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory requirements.
- Oversee the management of emergency services and health-related claims for the mine, maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
- Conduct internal and external audits of Health and Hygiene sections to assess compliance with legislative standards.
- Ensure the adherence to health service delivery standards and optimize resource allocation to meet clinic demands.
- Manage the medical surveillance process, ensuring accurate storage and accessibility of medical records and compliance with legal requirements.
- Develop wellness campaigns and provide health promotion services, including Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) initiatives.
- Manage dispensing practices and ensure compliance with legislative requirements within the health facility.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and contract management to optimize health service delivery through effective collaboration and resource management.
