About the role:
As a Civil Technical Advisor, you'll provide expert technical advice, mentor, and support the operations team, and help oversee daily maintenance activities across the Goldfields & Agricultural Region.
This role is the perfect mix of hands-on fieldwork and strategic desk work, giving you the chance to work on both small and large-scale assets.
Operations Engineering is a multi-discipline team, and we are here to provide technical support to operations. As the Civil-Tech Advisor you will provide civil technical advice in the areas of design, construction, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater assets.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, proactive planning, and making a lasting impact on essential water assets.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity!
What the role will involve:
Provide specialist civil technical advice and guidance on the analysis of faults, failures and performance of water and wastewater assets including recommendation of cost-effective solutions.
Assist capital projects with planning, design and delivery of water and wastewater services to ensure assets meet operational requirements and design standards.
Facilitate the provision of asset condition and maintenance data for water and wastewater assets.
Help support state development and be the regional representative for third-party development works.
Foster strong relationships with operations and other key stakeholders (engineering, planning, project management and asset performance).
The opportunity to travel to various sites across the Goldfields & Agricultural Region which is compensated accordingly.
Opportunities for training in Drone Operation, 4WD Operation and Safety Training.
Key skills and experience:
Tertiary or Trade Certificate level qualification in an Engineering discipline relevant to water industry operations
OR
Relevant Engineering Degree (preferred Civil but not necessary)
OR
Considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater assets.
