Job Title: Classroom assistant

Location: Junior Colleges Meyersdal

Hours: Full time

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Teacher. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the lead teacher to provide support and assistance in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans
• Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students
• Help students with assignments and classwork
• Monitor student progress and behavior
• Assist with classroom management and discipline
• Help prepare materials and resources for lessons
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
• Knowledge of child development and educational practices
• CPR and First Aid certification a plus
