The role of the Customer Relationship Manager & External Sales Support involves fostering and maintaining strong, honest, and mutually beneficial relationships with customers. You will also provide support to Sales Representatives by addressing client inquiries and concerns. The manner in which you interact with customers directly influences their perception of the company, and it is your responsibility to ensure that this perception remains positive and constructive. Key responsibilities include resolving customer queries and complaints, as well as strengthening and enhancing existing relationships with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform the duties outlined below, though not limited to:
- Client Meetings: Travel to meet clients in person to build relationships, understand their needs, and strengthen client connections.
- Travel Documentation: Track travel mileage, maintain a logbook, and submit regular reports for reimbursement.
- Customer Queries: Efficiently address customer queries and ensure timely responses and resolutions.
- Complaint Resolution: Handle customer complaints professionally, ensuring solutions are found without taking negative feedback personally.
- Relationship Management: Establish, maintain, and grow client relationships; accompany Sales Representatives to client meetings when necessary.
- Reporting: Provide weekly reports on client interactions, follow up on outstanding issues or requests, and ensure all action items are addressed.
- Client Relationship Enhancement: Drive client relationship improvement through opportunities such as basket expansion and needs identification.
- Database Management: Keep client contact details, including updates on key personnel, current and accurate in the accounting package database.
- Product/Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for product or process improvements to better serve customer needs.
- Sales Trend Analysis: Monitor and analyse sales trends to inform decision-making and sales strategy.
- Product Sample Coordination: Assist in arranging product samples for clients as requested.
- Customer Research: Conduct research on customer organizations to better understand their structure and business needs.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay informed on customer trends and address sales declines with clients to regain business and improve retention.
- Efficient Communication: Ensure all communication with clients is efficient, timely, and satisfactory.
- Internal Communication: Share relevant client communications with internal departments to address product, pricing, or service issues, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Sales Team Collaboration: Relay client feedback to the sales team to support smooth account management and resolution of client concerns.
- Sales Representative Support: Assist Sales Representatives with client queries, document management, and information requests.
- Customer Activity Analysis: Analyse reports and transaction history to understand customer behaviour, helping to retain current client relationships.
