We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting our digital assets, monitoring for security breaches, and implementing robust security measures across our systems and networks.
This job services our site in Durban, but reporting in Head office in Gauteng. The successful candidate can be based in Gauteng/Durban, but will be required to be on site upon operational requirements (monthly)
Education & Qualification requirements
- Degree in Computer Science/IT
- CISSP/CISM
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Certified Incident Handler (ECIH)
Essential Experience
A successful candidate needs to meet the following criteria:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a cybersecurity specialist in the below areas:
- Security operations
- Incident handling and investigation
- Digital forensics
- Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
- Threat intelligence
Skills & Competencies Required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good knowledge of networking, server infrastructure, security technologies and applications
- Ability to respond to cyberattacks and similar events
- Good ethical hacking skills
