Overview
A leading player in the renewable energy sector is looking for a commercially minded Asset Management Director to oversee the financial and operational performance of its project portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximising asset value from financial close through the full project lifecycle, ensuring profitability, compliance, and stakeholder alignment.
This is a strategic role, suited for a senior professional with strong financial acumen, a deep understanding of infrastructure or energy assets, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines including project finance, operations, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial oversight and performance optimisation of operational and in-construction assets.
Manage compliance with contractual obligations, shareholder reporting, and project agreements (including EPC, O&M, and financing).
Monitor project margins, performance indicators, and risk exposure, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate internal reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the asset portfolio.
Support refinancing activities and maintain up-to-date financial models.
Oversee stakeholder reporting across board, investment, and technical committees.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align asset strategy with broader business goals.
Guide and structure the asset management team and ensure continuous improvement in systems and processes.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, or related field (postgraduate/MBA preferred).
15+ years' experience in asset management, project finance, or commercial operations within energy, infrastructure, or similar sectors.
Proven track record managing large-scale assets and stakeholder relationships.
Strong understanding of financial models, compliance standards, and performance reporting.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
