PACKAGING WORLD has a vacancy for a TEAM LEADER - OUTBOUND. This position is based in Airport Industria – Cape Town.
The Dispatch team leader is in charge of merchandise preparation and expedition/dispatch operations. They are also responsible for training the team that they will delegate operations to.
Duties:
· Check and verify stock from production
· Picking of stock using the pick slip
· Getting it ready for dispatching
· Binning of stock using Megasoft
· Verification of stock versus the pick slip to ensure that it corresponds.
· Stock transfers to CT branch
· After stock received from production (PF Stock- Slitting and Bagging), verify actual stock with what is processed on the DF warehouse.
· Identify issues within warehouse e.g. stock discrepancies.
· Conduct Stock take- every 3 weeks
· Verify all credit notes that comes from QD, transfer to DF warehouse
· Management of the DFI warehouse: picking/stock take
· Liaising with Customer e.g. Spar regarding their stock
Counting and verifying according t the stock on hand report.
· Train all new pickers on their duties e.g. pallet sheet/general picking/Syspro and Mega soft.
· Verify pick slips with actual stock using verification number derived from system
· Submits the confirmed pick slip to Invoicing clerk
· Liaising with Afritrek Clerk regarding pallet dimensions and numbers of boxes as well as location of stock on warehouse floor
· Use Afritrek waybill in conjunction with PW Invoice for traceability
· Rectify captures of stock from Slitting department
Qualifications
- Hyster license
· Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
· 3 - 5 years in a Warehouse
· Knowledge and understanding of Syspro and Megasoft systems advantageous
· Good time management skills
· Keen eye for detail
· Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship
· Planning, organising and problem-solving skills
- Customer focused
- A Basic knowledge of HACCP / BRC standards and General Quality Management Systems
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
