Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical and Mechanical Technician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical work and a strong understanding of safety procedures and technical diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:Electrical Duties:
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, components, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, control panels, lighting, sensors, and PLCs.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
Mechanical Duties:
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems.
- Align, calibrate, and test machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Fabricate or modify mechanical parts using hand tools, welding, or machining tools.
General:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and inventory.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize equipment performance.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and use PPE at all times.
Requirements:
- Technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance or similar roles.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, automation equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and reporting.
- Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified electrician or mechanic (as required by local laws).
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA, NEC, or NFPA.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
