Since its founding as Continental Fan Works in 1966, CFW has built extensive expertise and knowledge, establishing itself as a trusted supplier of industrial fans to leading corporations both within South Africa and internationally.
The company employs a diverse workforce with a strong skill set in engineering. We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our team and help maintain the high standards our clients expect. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely.
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and components for HVAC systems and engineering projects.
- Liaise with customers to ensure clear communication regarding service issues and resolutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Draw, read, and understand electrical schematics.
- Install and program Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians and engineers on integrated system installations.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
- Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Participate in testing and commissioning of systems.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Qualified/Trade tested Electrician (Red Seal)
- Proven experience work experience post trade test
- Experience in engineering field either HVAC / ventilation / fans or applications is advantageous
- Drivers license essential
