Intercare Century City Day Hospital (Pty) Ltd situated in Cape Town, seeks to recruit an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary: Theatre.
The purpose of the position is to provide a proficient nursing service within the policies and procedures, governing legislation and good corporate governance in order to ensure satisfaction of customer needs, demands and preferences.
CRITICAL OUTPUTS
- Function as part of a theatre team under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Competent and confident as Circulating nurse.
- Friendly, professional delivery of quality clinical care to promote holistic care of the patient & to ensure the safety of the patient.
- Promote and maintain the hygiene of the patient in all aspects.
- Prevent cross infection by adhering to infection control policies/procedures.
- Maintain the comfort of the patient as well as prevention of complications.
- Promote the patient’s welfare by doing the necessary observations.
- Document / record all findings correctly in patient’s file.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Timeous & accurate checking of stock.
- Use, maintain & store resources appropriately without wastages and abuse of equipment and consumables.
- Demonstrates good judgement, client service & decision-making skills in line with company values.
REQUIREMENTS
- Registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary.
- At least 3 years’ experience within a theatre environment essential.
- Able to work flexi-time according to unit requirements.
- Knowledge of nursing activities within scope of practice.
