We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented sales professional to join our Equity Derivatives Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the origination, pricing, and distribution of both flow and structured equities to our institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and insurers.The ideal candidate will have experience in the JSE equities and derivatives market, a strong understanding of flow derivatives products and structured equities, and a proven track record of driving revenue and business growth.
- Job Description
- Drive sales and distribution of equity derivatives products for RMB Global Markets, including Listed & OTC options, Delta One products, and Structured Notes.
- Execute sales strategies to drive trading volumes and achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain close relationships with clients, tailoring sales efforts to their specific needs/objectives and investment mandates.
- Ensure prompt response to client pricing requests/queries.
- Work closely with sales, trading, and structuring teams to identify opportunities and develop customized equity solutions for clients.
- Assist in pricing and structuring equity derivative products, and/or coordinate with relevant trading and structuring teams.
- Ensure effective communication with traders in pricing deals and execution of client orders.
- Pitch trade ideas, send daily/weekly runs/commentaries, and help traders manage existing positions.
- Stay abreast of market conditions, macroeconomic factors, and company-specific news for idea generation and potential trade opportunities.
- Ensure smooth trade execution process, including managing delta instructions, accurate booking of risk, trade recaps, and any post-trade enquiries.
- Maintain accurate trading records and prepare reports for management as required.
- Continually liaise with clients to get pricing/service feedback and assess their ongoing needs and requirements.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new clients, ensuring they have the necessary credit approvals, legal documentation, and mandates to trade derivatives.
- Timely approval of daily PnL, ensuring any queries are addressed promptly with Product Control or other relevant teams.
- Requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in Mathematical Science, Mathematics of Finance, Actuarial Science, Financial Risk Management, Mathematical Statistics, Quantitative Finance and Econometrics
- FRM/CQF/CFA would be an advantage
- JSE Registered Persons Exams (RPE) for Equities & Derivatives Traders
- 3-5 years of experience in equity derivatives sales, structured sales, or a related field
- Proficiency in trading platforms like Murex/Front Arena and Bloomberg
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
