The External Sales Representative conducts calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily. Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers. Maintain records of all sales leads and customer accounts. Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Effective contact sessions with decision-makers that positively influence the customer’s relationship with UPG.
- Communicating effectively about the status of enquiries and orders to customers.
- Communication with management regarding flash sales, lost orders and Inventory issues.
- Calling on customer base and managing allocated area as well as calling on dormant or quiet customers and acquiring new customers for UPG.
- Effective and professional customer contact, extracting the needs of the customer.
- Honouring commitments made to customers.
- Have an exceptional knowledge of Agricultural spare parts.
- Displaying technical, design and problem-solving ability.
- Assist with UPG breakdown service.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Minimum 5 years sales experience in the Agricultural spare parts industry and a strong knowledge of the same.
- Knowledge on UPG’s entire parts offering would be an advantage.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Must be computer literate.
- Experience in Syspro SOP will be advantageous.
- Ability and willingness to travel for trade shows, demonstrations, and client meetings throughout KZN.
