A challenging position has become available in TFG Group Store Development. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to manage the Services function. This role is primarily responsible for the provision and management of a host of services to all TFG Trading stores in Africa. These services include Store Maintenance (Adhoc and Scheduled Maintenance), Risk Control and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member of the Store Development EXCO team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making
- Oversee and manage all facets of Group Store Facilities department
- Accountable for departmental and contribution to Group Strategic Planning as part of Management
- Operational Management: All HR-related matters, team structure, cost centre budgets and financial management, admin process and audit compliance
- Accountable for managing Facilities Maintenance budgets (CAPEX and OPEX) in line with allocated budgets
- Ensure financial discipline and compliance with budgetary requirements
- Interact with Heads of Business/Ops on Store Facilities related matters through adhoc discussions and monthly reporting
- Managing supplier relations, choose suppliers, creating SLAs and long-term contractual agreements
- Internal and external stakeholder management
- Provide interactive and preventative support on matters such as flood damage, fire damage, and riot/protest damage
- Manage facilities assets, mainly hardware such as HVAC, vertical transportation, power security, electrical and fire equipment etc
- Manage the general maintenance and upkeep of all TFG stores
- Ensure all stores are compliant with the mandated regulatory requirements
- Manage, lead, guide, mentor and develop internal team
- Sign off and approval of TFG systems
- Managed required standards, quality of sourced, procured and manufactured equipment and store site location builds
- Relationship management with Retail Brands MD, Heads of Business, Operations, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Internal Property, leasing teams, including all external suppliers related to store development/builds
- Coordination and relationship management with Landlords, Mall Management and internal TFG stack holders – likes of data, POS and security systems
- Allocation of project build timelines, biweekly retail cluster project programs listing all development activities, stakeholder and TFG system notifications
- Travel within SA borders and into Africa for related supplier activities
Qualification and Experience:
- At least 5 - 10 year of work experience in retail facilities management environment
- A relevant business-related qualification will be advantageous
