Summary of role:
Final Product is responsible to conduct quality inspections (including testing) on the company’s final products to ensure that they meet internal and external product requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct daily Quality Inspections (including testing where required) on final products.
- Record results of inspections (including testing where required) accurately and submit the completed records to the relevant parties.
- Reporting of quality rejections in accordance to the company’s procedures.
- Submit Production Snag Lists (Internal Rejection / Shortages) to Management for review/approval prior to the product release.
- Monitor the Internal Rejection / Shortage Database daily.
- Verify that rework (post production) activities were carried out effectively.
- Approve finished products assuring that the products conform to internal (company) and external (customer and other interested parties) requirements.
- Provide regular feedback to the different inspection areas (personnel) of Main Product Assembly on missed inspection elements.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective- and or preventive actions to the area’s Quality Assurance Representative.
- Reporting of Engineering Change Request(s) to the area’s Quality Assurance Representative.
- Report inspection, measuring and test equipment breakdowns to the area’s Quality Assurance Representative.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment following the standards and procedures and comply with legal regulations.
- Assist with the compilation, review and implementation of SHEQ related documentation, such as procedures, work instructions, inspection sheets, etc.
- Assist the area’s Quality Assurance Representative with improvement projects and the implementation thereof.
- Assist with general administration duties as required from time to time.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- Completed quality-related qualification
- Experience in manufacturing industry - 3 years
- Experience in manufacturing industry – automotive - 1 year
- Experience in quality control (inspector) - At least 2 years
- Experience in an ISO 9001 environment (beneficial)
