Dynamic Financial Firm in Newlands that is a successful Independent Financial Advisory specialising in investments, tax and financial planning, is looking for a financial planning professional to join their growing team of Client Portfolio Managers. The role is ideal for a financial professional with 3-5 years’ working experience in the area of financial planning and investment advice. Experience in onboarding and servicing clients with different investment vehicles is essential. The successful candidate will need to:
Meet with prospective clients (virtually via Zoom / Teams or in person)
Follow a detailed financial planning process to onboard prospective clients
Advise existing and prospective clients on their investments
Advise clients on offshore investing, where required
Assist clients with tax planning, estate planning and wills
Prepare and conduct investment reviews for clients
Continuously learn about the markets, tax regulations and different investment vehicles
Work as part of a professional team
Handle client queries
Keep records of new and existing clients
Monitor FICA compliance
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Relevant degree (B. Com / Bus Science)
Must have passed the RE5 regulatory exam
Applicants with the Certified Financial Planner CFP® qualification (or studying towards the qualification) will be preferred
Minimum 3 years working experience as a financial planner
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Skills:
Be fluent (speech and writing) in English and Afrikaans
Good written and verbal communication skills
Have the ability to manage time effectively
Have an aptitude for continued learning
Basic salary (R40 000 – R30 000 neg - depending on experience) on offer plus commission & bonus incentives.
