Are you a dynamic, hands-on leader with strong operational, financial, and people management skills? We are looking for a Fuel Station Site Supervisor to oversee daily site operations, ensure compliance, manage staff, and drive profitability at our high-performance fuel retail in Tsakane. As the Fuel Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial leadership role—spending 30% of your time in the front office engaging with customers and staff, and 70% in the back office ensuring smooth and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Site & Operational Management (45%)
· Oversee and implement daily operational processes and checklists
· Ensure full compliance with HSEQ standards and internal controls
· Manage forecourt operations, shift closures, and end-of-day reports
· Monitor and manage stock levels (wet and dry) and consumables
· Conduct stock takes and control spoilage and losses (aiming for <3%)
· Financial & Asset Control (25%)
· Reconcile sales, pump readings, deposits, and daily payouts
· Manage fuel accounts, bank deposits, and account sales
· Capture and process invoices and payments using WinBranch and bank systems
· Control cash variances, employee debts, and financial reporting
· Ensure quarterly audits and corrective action plans
· Staff & HR Coordination (5%)
· Supervise staff attendance, shift rosters, and leave scheduling
· Maintain employee files and biometric systems
· Coordinate with HR on recruitment, compliance, and performance management
· Customer & Brand Management (10%)
· Represent the brand and promote a customer-first culture
· Resolve customer complaints when escalated
· Build relationships with stakeholders (Engen, suppliers, community)
· IT & Systems Management (5%)
· Oversee system usage, data integrity, and business applications
· Liaise with IT support vendors and ensure secure password protocols
· Leadership & Business Development (5%)
· Implement business strategies aligned with the Engen vision
· Lead by example and nurture a High Performing Organisation (HPO) culture
· Engage in continuous learning and stay updated via Engen Learn
What We’re Looking For:
· Diploma in Business, Retail, or Finance-related field
· Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or operational role within retail or fuel industry
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Pastel software
· Analytical and detail-oriented with high numerical literacy
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Excellent communication and customer service orientation
· Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
