Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Business Administration Diploma/Degree (advantageous).
- Qualified Grain Grader with fumigation qualification (advantageous).
- 10 years of operational experience in operations.
Key Performance Areas
Managing Raw Material Quality and Stock:
- Ensure the correct quality and quantity of raw materials.
- Manage grading and moisture adjustments.
- Optimise resource use for efficient manufacturing.
- Expand the Milling Business and Service Levels:
- Identify and initiate opportunities for business expansion.
- Develop strategies to maximise infrastructure utilisation.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure quality standards.
Technical Performance:
- Assess and improve technical mill performance.
- Achieve milling gain extraction targets.
- Manage offal/bran sales and minimise downtime.
Human Resource Management:
- Identify training and development needs.
- Manage subordinates' performance and ensure motivation.
- Align with the company's EE plan.
Budget, Financial, and Cost Management:
- Implement systems to manage financial results.
- Monitor income and expenses, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Achieve budget targets and reduce costs.
Compliance and Reporting
- Maintain food safety, occupational health, and safety standards.
- Improve scoring on internal and external audits.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to the Managing Director.
- Ensure consistent communication with EXCO.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of milling systems and procedures.
