About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Horticultural Manager to lead our horticultural operations across high-end landscaping projects. In this key leadership role, you’ll combine your technical plant knowledge with strong team and project management skills to ensure exceptional landscape outcomes that are sustainable, visually stunning, and client-focused.
What You’ll Do
Horticultural Operations
- Design and execute seasonal planting, care, and landscape enhancement plans
- Ensure plant health through best practices in irrigation, nutrition, and pest/disease control
- Recommend plant palettes suitable for diverse environmental and aesthetic needs
Team & Project Leadership
· Supervise and develop horticulture and grounds crews
· Schedule and oversee horticultural activities on multiple job sites
· Collaborate with designers, architects, and project managers to align horticultural execution with design vision
Client Engagement & Quality Control
· Advise clients on horticultural solutions and ongoing care
· Conduct site audits and maintain quality standards across all properties
· Build long-term relationships through reliability, responsiveness, and expertise
Resource & Budget Management
· Manage procurement of plants and materials
· Track labor, supply usage, and job site performance
· Ensure all activities comply with safety and environmental standards
Sustainability & Innovation
· Promote eco-friendly landscaping practices (native planting, xeriscaping, water-wise design)
· Stay current with trends and innovations in horticulture and green infrastructure
What We’re Looking For
✅ Must-Have:
- Degree in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Management, or related field
- 5+ years in horticulture/landscape operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Deep knowledge of plant science, seasonal care, soils, and irrigation
- Strong leadership, scheduling, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
· Industry certifications (e.g. CPH, ISA Arborist)
· Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, or landscape design software
· Background in sustainable/organic horticultural practices
