IT Project Administrator

Location: Midrand

Contract duration: 9 months

Job Summary:

  • The Project Administrator will support the Group function by assisting the Project Manager and project team in the planning, execution, and completion of IT-related projects.
  • This role involves coordinating project activities, managing schedules, and ensuring that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Track project progress and update project plans as needed.

Documentation Management:

  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all project documents are properly filed and accessible.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports.

Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for project team members and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between project team members.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide project information as needed.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Manage project-related procurement and logistics.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project administration or a similar role, preferably within an IT environment.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with IT project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
  • Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP).
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development processes.
