Junior Production Manager (Table Grapes) – Malmesbury.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production: Plant citrus, schedule irrigation, apply fertiliser, pest, plague and weed control, prune, harvest, monitoring, all manipulations
- Personnel and administration: Labor planning and management, recordkeeping, plan transport and accommodation, maintenance (equipment / orchards / general)
- Financial: Cost control by focusing on productivity
Requirements:
- Applicants should be post-matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture, with at least 3 years experience in the cultivation of citrus
- Knowledge of modern production practices
- Specific knowledge/ experience in irrigation practices will be to your advantage
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
