JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Recruitment Coordinator to support our HR team in sourcing, screening, and placing top talent within the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level recruiter to gain hands-on experience in the recruitment lifecycle and contribute to the growth and success of the company by attracting and retaining skilled employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist in sourcing candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media platforms and internal referrals.
· Screen CVs and applications to ensure they meet the requirements of the role and align with company needs.
· Conduct initial phone screenings with candidates to assess their qualifications, skills, and cultural fit for the organization.
· Draft and post job advertisements on internal and external platforms, ensuring job descriptions are clear, accurate, and reflective of the role.
· Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring smooth and timely communication.
· Prepare and send interview invitations, assessments, and relevant materials to candidates and hiring managers.
· Assist with conducting initial interviews and shortlisting candidates for further interviews with hiring managers.
· Maintain consistent and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
· Provide candidates with feedback on their applications and interviews, as required.
· Manage candidate queries and provide support during the recruitment process.
· Maintain accurate records of candidate applications, interview notes, and recruitment metrics.
· Assist with preparing job offers, employment contracts, and other relevant documentation for new hires.
· Ensure that all recruitment-related documentation is filed correctly and in compliance with South African labor law and organizational policies.
· Assist with conducting reference checks, background screenings, and verifying candidate qualifications and credentials.
· Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future recruitment needs.
· Keep track of potential candidates for roles that may arise in the future.
· Assist with the preparation of offer letters, contract documentation, and other onboarding materials.
· Help coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
· Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations.
· Assist with company social events and employee wellbeing initiatives.
· Assist with being the stand-in for Reception
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· At least 1 year of experience in recruitment or a similar role.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to engage and build relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with recruitment software.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
· Knowledge of South African labor laws, particularly regarding recruitment and employment practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
· A relevant HR qualification (NQF Level 5 or higher) is preferred.
