As a junior software engineer, you will work closely with experienced team members to learn and contribute to developing robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions on the .NET (C#) framework. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and be part of a dynamic team.
What you’ll be doing
Engineering
- Assist in building, maintaining, and deploying software according to company’s software engineering standards.
- Write and run unit-tests to ensure software quality.
- Support the maintenance of existing systems and contribute to the development of new features using modern technologies.
- Collaborate other software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software issues as part of the support team.
Documentation
- Help document software components, processes, and workflows for team reference.
Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
- 1 to 2 years’ practical experience in software development of a relevant internship.
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, with a preference for experience in C# and the .NET framework.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Exposure to relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and writing queries.
- Awareness of Software Testing fundamentals.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
- Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g. Docker).
- Awareness of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests.
- Experience as part of an Agile software engineering team.
- A good understanding or security principles,
- Some knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, Vue and React).
- Computer Science related degree, diploma, or similar qualification in software engineering.
