Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Laboratory Team in ensuring daily lab operations comply with ISO 9001:2015 QMS and SHEQ regulations.
- Conduct routine laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to testing protocols.
- Assist with updating and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Prepare and send out samples as per customer requirements; assist in tracking feedback and result documentation.
- Monitor laboratory stock levels and expiry dates of samples and materials; coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
- Conduct hands-on testing of raw materials for quality verification and assist with product development trials.
- Assist in formulation adjustments and colour matching under the direction of senior technical staff.
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to troubleshoot formulation or application issues.
- Record, investigate, and escalate product-related customer complaints and contribute to technical reports under the guidance of the Industry Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in a coatings or chemical laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a solid foundation in lab techniques and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Strong teamwork skills with some leadership exposure preferred.
- Clear medical and criminal record.
