The duties for the position include:
- Must have own helmet
- Picking up samples from the doctors’ rooms and delivering samples from point A (doctors' rooms, hospitals, etc) to point B (the lab).
- Delivering results and other miscellaneous items to the relevant party.
- Taking responsibility for urgent or confidential samples or results.
- Accepting payments for the samples.
- Filling out paperwork for samples picked up and dropped off.
- Getting signatures from recipients upon delivery of results or miscellaneous items.
- Answering questions and providing customer service to people using the service.
- Working with other departments to get to the right locations.
- Ensure the samples are transported correctly.
- Collect specimens and miscellaneous items.
- All results are delivered and tracked.
- Check doctors’ rooms for any stock that may be needed.
- Obtain feedback from the doctors’ rooms, and provide feedback to relevant parties and managers.
- Ensure stock is delivered to doctors on time and signed for.
- Conducting vehicle checks.
- Reporting any issues or damage to the vehicles.
- Ensuring the vehicle is always clean.
- Ensuring all samples are tracked.
- Issuing receipts for any cash collected.
- Informing the controller if there is any cash to follow.
- Identifying drop in samples within their respective areas.
- Identifying potential clientele.
- Attending Logistics meetings as and when scheduled.
Skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Matric certificate
- Valid biker's licence
- 1 (one) year of experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Attention to detail
- Numerical reasoning
- Ability to work well within teams
