Warwick Wine Estate is looking for a capable, detail-oriented Logistics Manager with solid experience in the wine or liquor industry. This key role oversees inventory, production planning, procurement, warehousing, exports, and supplier coordination. We’re seeking a hands-on, solution-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of systems and processes.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management.
· At least 5 years’ logistics/supply chain experience in wine, liquor, or FMCG.
· Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in:
o Demand forecasting and production scheduling
o Procurement and supplier negotiations
o National distribution and export logistics (incl. freight forwarding, documentation, SARS/SAWIS)
· Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as WineMS, EzyWine, and Business Central.
· Familiarity with quality and food safety standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP, ISO) is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
· Forecasting demand and scheduling production accordingly.
· Planning and procuring dry goods and packaging materials.
· Managing national and international logistics and distribution.
· Engaging with customers and logistics partners, as well as cross-functional internal collaboration.
· Management of the logistics team.
· Optimising inventory levels to reduce wastage and ensure accuracy.
· Working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments.
· Improving operational processes and team efficiency across the supply chain.
· Ensuring compliance with export regulations and quality standards.
· Contributing to system and process improvements within existing platforms.
