Job Description
Shoe City is a dynamic and innovative fashion retailer seeking a talented marketing graduate to join our marketing team in the digital space for a 12 months period to gain exposure in the world of work. The succesful graduate will support and be involved in various aspects of our digital strategy while gaining hands-on experience across key focus areas.
Key Responsibilities
E-commerce Support
- Assist with product uploads, website visuals, and monthly campaign updates.
- Help track online sales and prepare performance reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth online store operations.
- Support new online initiatives and handle basic website admin tasks.
Campaign Management
- Assist in the execution, tracking, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns (social media, Google, YouTube, email, SMS, A+).
- Help monitor campaign budgets and timelines.
- Support in analyzing campaign performance and compiling feedback reports for internal stakeholders.
Community Management
- Support in monitoring digital platforms and responding to customer queries in a brand-appropriate tone.
- Assist with post scheduling, basic copywriting, and community engagement efforts.
Content Creation
- Participate in drafting briefs for the content team and coordinating content planning sessions.
- Assist in content reviews and approvals with the Marketing Manager.
- Support influencer collaboration processes.
Digital Presence
- Be involved in reviewing and helping implement new digital tools or platforms.
- Assist with ongoing digital platform management (e.g., Google Analytics, Google MarketPlace, Social Places, Data Studio).
- Provide support on ad-hoc digital initiatives and projects that impact the brand’s digital footprint.
- Assist in managing external agency and supplier relationships.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Marketing, Fashion or related field (minimum NQF 6 qualification is essential)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 0-1 year of experience
- Must not be a beneficiary of any SETA funded programme
- Some knowledge of E-commerce & social media management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent time management, organizational and administrative skills and presentation skills.
- Knowledge working with website maintenance and social media platforms is essential
- Knowledge of digital paid media platforms
- Proficient in Google Suite would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Shopify system (advantageous)
