Genkem has an exciting opportunity within our Maintenance Department. We are looking for talented individuals with relevant skills and experience to be a Mechanical Maintenance Artisan for our plant based in Johannesburg. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Site Manager
Minimum Criteria:
- Matric
- Clear Criminal Record
- N3 - N6 Mechanical Engineering
- Trade Test will be advantageous
- Good Communication Skills
- Attention to detail
- 3 Years experience
Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications to assemble mechanical components accurately.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively to fabricate and fit components.
- Conduct inspections and tests on completed machinery to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
