Job Role:
The Media Sales Account Executive at Masakhane Lizwe plays a pivotal role in facilitating sales and client management in the Media Landscape. This dynamic position involves managing existing client accounts with diligence, ensuring client needs are met and campaign expectations exceeded. With a keen eye for detail, the Account Executive will take briefs and effectively communicate them to the broader team, fostering seamless collaboration and project execution. Moreover, The Account Executive will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with both Commercial and Public Sector clients, while also actively contributing to the expansion of the client base. This is a full-time role requiring the individual to be based in Gauteng and have their own mode of transportation and this role requires a self-starter and a self-motivator who can hit the ground running independently. It offers an exciting opportunity for growth within the Media Industry and an opportunity to positively impact the Media Landscape in South Africa today.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and develop cohesive briefs from clients for the Sales Support Team
- Create Dynamic proposals using PowerPoint, Excel etc.
- Assist in the development of Commercial and Public Sector Media Campaign/Strategies
- Present the Strategies/Creative Solutions (Proposals) to new and existing clients
- Manage relationships with existing clients and form new relationships with potential clients
- Follow up on proposals shared with clients and close the loop on the sales journey
- Schedule meetings with clients to discuss campaign expectations once campaign signed-off
- Present and share post campaign statistics provided by the sales support team
- Keep track and update commercial pipeline and customer relationship tools
- Research potential new business accounts and create on-boarding strategies
- Assist in reaching monthly sales targets
- Do agency visits for new briefs/on-boarding/relationship management when required
Requirements:
- Matric (Completed Grade 12)
- Minimum 2-Years Experience in Sales (Broadcasting Preferred)
- Have a basic understanding of Media and Marketing Strategies (Radio advantageous)
- Ability to build strong, mutually beneficial business relationships
- Desire to prospect and create new business opportunities
- Proven track record of achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Pride in exceptional work and client service
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
- Effective time management for meeting deadlines
