Vacancy: Senior Financial Bookkeeper

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established hospitality and property group in Sandton seeking a Senior Financial Bookkeeper to join their dynamic finance team.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting and bookkeeping who thrives in a vibrant, entrepreneurial environment and can manage end-to-end financial functions with autonomy and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping function to trial balance
- Process and reconcile all accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
- Process journals, bank reconciliations, VAT and tax submissions
- Assist with audits and liaise with external service providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero
- Ad hoc finance-related tasks and reporting to the Financial Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Bookkeeping
- 5+ years’ experience in a full-function bookkeeping role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero Accounting (essential)
- Experience in the hospitality, property or service industries is a plus
- Accuracy, initiative, and a strong sense of ownership
- Ability to work in a small, fast-paced team

Pay: R25 000,00 - R38 000,00 per month
