We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and passionate Montessori Co-Directress/Assistant to join our team, working with children aged 3 to 6 years. The ideal candidate will support the team in creating and maintaining a prepared Montessori environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. This role involves guiding children with respect, observing and documenting their development, and contributing to a calm, engaging, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining a Montessori-aligned classroom that encourages independence and exploration.
- Observe and document each child’s development, interests, and progress.
- Support children using Montessori principles to foster self-discipline, respect, and intrinsic motivation.
- Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities tailored to individual learning needs.
- Maintain a peaceful and respectful environment that nurtures children’s social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Montessori certification or studying Montessori preferred.
- Able to work with children ages 3–6 in a Montessori or early childhood setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Warm, patient, and respectful approach to guiding children.
- Commitment to the Montessori philosophy and continuous learning.
